CozyLab began with two things motherhood made impossible for me to ignore.

My body changed. Pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood changed how I dressed, how I moved through my days, and what I needed from my clothes. Yet so much of womenswear still felt designed for one fixed version of a woman.

Why should our clothes stop working just because we change?

Motherhood changed how I thought about fabric too.

My daughter has eczema prone skin, and becoming more intentional about what touched her skin made me more conscious of what I wore against mine.

My background in plant science and cotton had already taught me to think about fabric from the fiber level. Motherhood made that knowledge personal.
